Duration: Contract through December 31, 2026, part-time with flexible hours
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced SharePoint professional to support a focused file migration and organization project with a well-established consumer retail organization. You’ll help consolidate files currently stored across servers and SharePoint into a centralized, intuitive environment that makes information easier for employees to find, access, and share.
This is an independent, hands-on role where you’ll partner closely with a Senior Designer and Project Manager to shape the migration approach and build a practical SharePoint hub for the development team. The work is fully remote and highly flexible, with much of it able to be completed during evenings and weekends.
What’s In It for You
This project offers flexibility and autonomy, making it well suited to an experienced contractor looking for part-time project work. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your SharePoint expertise from planning through execution, while recommending improvements that make a meaningful difference to day-to-day workflows.
Your Responsibilities
• You’ll migrate files and documents from existing servers and locations into SharePoint, ensuring information is transferred accurately and completely.
• You’ll organize SharePoint document libraries, folders, navigation and content into a clear, user-friendly structure.
• You’ll develop a SharePoint dashboard connecting employees to Smartsheet, internal resources, frequently used documents and tools.
• You’ll review current file-management practices and recommend improvements to accessibility, naming conventions and workflows.
• You’ll test migrated files, permissions and links to confirm content is accessible and functioning correctly.
• You’ll create basic documentation to help users navigate and maintain the new environment.
Skills and Qualifications
• Previous hands-on experience completing SharePoint migrations from a server environment is required.
• Strong Microsoft SharePoint expertise, including document libraries, permissions, navigation and site organization.
• Experience with file migration, document management and server-to-cloud transitions.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet and connecting resources within SharePoint is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to protecting file integrity during migration.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently.
