Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, you’ll lead a team of four maintenance and cleaning staff while working closely with social workers, community partners and tenants. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong property and financial management skills with empathy, sound judgment and confidence navigating sensitive tenant situations.

You’ll earn $75,000 to $80,000 annually and join a collaborative workplace where your work directly supports housing stability and tenant well-being. Benefits include three weeks of vacation, 10 paid sick days, one personal holiday, comprehensive benefits and a defined contribution pension plan with equal employer contributions.
Your Responsibilities
• You’ll oversee daily property operations, preventative maintenance, building walkthroughs, contractors, vacancies, unit turnovers and service agreements.
• You’ll lead and support maintenance and cleaning staff, helping ensure responsive, safe and consistent building operations.
• You’ll manage rent collection, arrears, subsidy administration, deposits and related financial coordination with the finance team.
• You’ll work directly with tenants to resolve concerns, including situations involving elevated emotions, using a calm and trauma-informed approach.
• You’ll collaborate with social workers and community partners to support successful tenancies and administer Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) and other subsidy programs.
• You’ll maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable housing, health and safety requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
• 4+ years of property management or related experience, ideally within social, affordable or non-profit housing.
• Experience working respectfully and effectively with vulnerable populations, including individuals who may have experienced trauma.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, housing regulations and health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of RGI programs is strongly preferred, with willingness to complete required certification if needed.
• Strong financial, rent administration, organizational and problem-solving skills.
