About the Opportunity
Altis Technology is seeking a Senior Technology Architect to support a large, complex public sector environment. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced architect who combines deep enterprise architecture expertise with a strong background in cybersecurity, particularly Zero Trust principles, Layer 7/API gateway technologies, and IT security strategy and governance.

You’ll work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and delivery partners to shape secure, scalable solutions across distributed and cross-platform environments. Your architectural leadership will help translate evolving business needs into practical technology solutions while strengthening security, integration, and enterprise standards.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll develop, recommend, implement, and manage technical architectures spanning hardware, software, databases, communications, and integrations
• You’ll design secure, scalable solutions for large, distributed and cross-platform enterprise environments
• You’ll develop conceptual, logical, and physical architecture models and other enterprise architecture deliverables
• You’ll translate business requirements into technical, data, integration, and reporting solutions
• You’ll provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout solution design and implementation
• You’ll design and support IT processes aligned with ITIL methodologies and best practices
• You’ll assess emerging technologies, industry trends, and opportunities to strengthen enterprise architecture

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience designing systems using Zero Trust security principles
• 5+ years of experience with CA Gateway and/or other Layer 7 gateway technologies
• 5+ years of experience developing or implementing IT security strategies and governance
• Senior-level experience developing and implementing enterprise technical architectures across multiple platforms, operating systems, databases, and communication protocols
• Strong experience with middleware, gateways, enterprise integrations, distributed systems, systems analysis, solution design, and structured application development methodologies
• Experience developing enterprise architecture models and deliverables, plus designing IT processes using ITIL practices
• Public sector experience is preferred, including Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture practices. Knowledge of OpenText ECM, Information Management principles, CASE tools, and project management or software delivery tools is considered an asset
