Job Description

Location: Courtice, ON
Work Arrangement: Fully on site
Duration: 1 month contract, with potential for extension.
Language: Strong written and spoken English communication required
Background Check Requirement: Criminal Background Check.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
Pay Rate: $22/hour.

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join their People & Culture team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting a variety of HR and recruitment activities while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Supporting both Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, you'll play an important role in coordinating interviews, managing administrative processes, supporting invoicing activities, and helping keep multiple projects and priorities organized. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their HR career while gaining exposure to recruitment coordination and general HR operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • You'll coordinate interviews for entry-level recruitment, including scheduling candidates and communicating with hiring managers and interview panels

  • You'll support recruitment activities by maintaining candidate records, coordinating interview logistics, and ensuring a positive candidate experience

  • You'll provide administrative support across a variety of Human Resources initiatives and day-to-day operations

  • You'll coordinate invoices and support general financial administration for the People & Culture team

  • You'll assist with project coordination by working closely with Executive Assistants and internal stakeholders on team initiatives

  • You'll respond to or coordinate responses to general employee inquiries, ensuring questions are directed to the appropriate resources

  • You'll maintain accurate records and perform data entry within HR systems while following established procedures and documentation

  • You'll proactively support a busy team by identifying priorities, following up on outstanding tasks, and contributing to continuous process improvements


Skills and Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, recruitment coordination, HR administration, or a related administrative support role

  • Experience coordinating interviews, calendars, or recruitment activities is considered an asset

  • Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional approach when interacting with candidates and employees

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and documentation

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams

  • Experience using an HRIS such as Dayforce is considered an asset but is not required

  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
