Infrastructure Automation Lead

Location: Toronto, ON. Hybrid (3 days a week onsite)

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, secure, and efficient automation solutions that improve operational excellence across a complex cloud environment.

Working alongside cloud, infrastructure, and platform teams, you will play a key role in migrating existing GitHub-based automation to HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) while enhancing enterprise automation capabilities with Terraform and Ansible. Your work will directly support infrastructure provisioning, Day 2 operations, and the continued evolution of a modern automation platform within a large enterprise environment.

Your Responsibilities

• You'll assess existing GitHub repositories, GitHub Actions workflows, and automation pipelines to develop an effective migration strategy to HashiCorp Cloud Platform.

• You'll design and implement HCP and Ansible integrations that support infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and Day 2 operational automation.

• You'll build, maintain, and optimize reusable Terraform modules, Ansible playbooks, roles, templates, and automation workflows.

• You'll manage GitHub repositories, including branching strategies, pull requests, version control, reusable workflows, and access management.

• You'll implement enterprise security, governance, approval workflows, and audit controls across the automation platform.

• You'll support testing, troubleshooting, documentation, production readiness, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

• You'll contribute to ServiceNow integration initiatives to enable streamlined, one-click infrastructure requests and operational automation, where applicable.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) and Terraform.

• 5+ years of advanced experience with Ansible, including playbooks, roles, inventories, and automation workflows.

• 5+ years of experience managing GitHub repositories, GitHub Actions, and enterprise source control practices.

• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, API integrations, secrets management, and enterprise security controls.

• Experience designing automation solutions for infrastructure deployments and Day 2 operations.

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and knowledge transfer skills.

• Experience working within enterprise cloud environments. Microsoft Azure experience and ServiceNow integration experience are considered strong assets.
