Your Responsibilities
• You'll lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to define project objectives.
• You'll document business, functional, and non-functional requirements, including BRDs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
• You'll develop current and future state process maps, workflow models, system interaction diagrams, and gap analyses.
• You'll facilitate stakeholder workshops and translate technical concepts into clear business language.
• You'll support Agile delivery through sprint planning, backlog refinement, Agile ceremonies, and collaboration with Product Owners.
• You'll work closely with QA, UX, and service designers to validate requirements, support testing activities, and ensure user needs are reflected in delivered solutions.
• You'll maintain project documentation, traceability matrices, RAID logs, and project status reporting.
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting large, complex enterprise environments
• Post-secondary education in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven experience with Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Strong experience gathering and documenting BRDs, FRDs, NFRs, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, and other business analysis and process modelling tools
• Experience collaborating with UX designers to translate user needs into business requirements
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Previous public sector experience is considered an asset.
