About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected national non-profit organization, is seeking a bilingual Development Assistant to join their collaborative Development team. Your Responsibilities
- You'll provide bilingual support by responding to donor inquiries through multiple communication channels, ensuring timely, professional, and donor-focused service.
- You'll maintain accurate donor records by reviewing, updating, and documenting information within Salesforce and other systems.
- You'll support donor stewardship activities by coordinating recognition requests, following up on incomplete donation information, and maintaining communication records.
- You'll prepare, proofread, and maintain correspondence, templates, FAQs, and donor communications to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- You'll assist with tracking donor feedback, documenting follow-up activities, and escalating inquiries when appropriate.
- You'll provide administrative support to the Development team while contributing to additional projects and priorities as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in administration, customer service, office coordination, or a related support role.
- Fully bilingual in English and French, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing high volumes of inquiries while providing professional and responsive customer service.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, along with experience using CRM or database systems. Salesforce experience is considered an asset.
- Experience within the non-profit or charitable sector is considered an asset.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
