About the Opportunity
We’re hiring a Merchandise Space Planner to join a large national retail organization and help bring store concepts to life across multiple locations. In this role, you’ll use planograms, floor plans and business insights to determine how products, fixtures and displays should be positioned to create an effective customer experience and support sales.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career space planning professional who enjoys combining analytical thinking with hands-on execution. You’ll collaborate with merchandising teams, stores, planners and vendors to keep layouts accurate, solve space planning challenges and support the successful rollout of merchandising initiatives.

What’s In It for You
You’ll gain valuable experience within a large-scale retail environment, working on space planning initiatives that directly influence how customers experience stores. You’ll also have exposure to established planning tools, cross-functional teams and multiple store concepts, with opportunities to strengthen your technical and project coordination skills.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll create, update and maintain planograms and category floor plans across multiple store locations.
• You’ll analyze product, sales and customer trends to support effective product placement and space utilization.
• You’ll adjust layouts as products, fixtures, displays and merchandising requirements change.
• You’ll communicate with stores, internal teams and vendors to resolve planogram inquiries and support smooth execution.
• You’ll maintain accurate space planning information, including item dimensions, locations, fixtures and capacities.
• You’ll create reports and dashboards that provide insights into space planning performance and opportunities.
• You’ll support projects by managing priorities, tracking changes and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications
• 1–2+ years of experience in merchandise space planning, planograms, retail planning or a related area.
• College certificate or diploma, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Hands-on planogram experience is required, with JDA Floor Planning or JDA Space Planning experience strongly preferred. Candidates with strong planogram experience and comparable space planning tools may also be considered.
• Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to translate information into practical merchandising decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence learning new digital planning tools.
• Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements.
• Clear communication skills, a collaborative approach and a calm demeanor when working through challenges.
