About the Opportunity
Join a public sector transit organization as a Business Analyst / Product Owner, where you will help shape technology solutions that improve bus operations, service delivery and the rider experience. This dual-function role is ideal for someone who can connect operational needs with practical, high-value software solutions.

You will work closely with business leaders, transit operations teams, technical specialists, developers and quality assurance professionals. Your ability to understand complex challenges, build consensus and translate needs into clear requirements will directly support more efficient and accessible public transportation services.

What’s In It for You
This opportunity offers meaningful work in a highly visible public sector environment, with exposure to complex transit operations and enterprise technology initiatives. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, contribute to products that serve the public and work within a team that values accountability, continuous improvement and thoughtful decision-making.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll analyze business processes, workflows and systems across bus operations, including dispatch, scheduling, fleet management, maintenance and real-time information.
• You’ll gather and document business requirements, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, process flows and functional specifications.
• In this role, you’ll manage and prioritize the product backlog based on strategic goals, stakeholder needs and business value.
• You’ll act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
• You’ll facilitate workshops, sprint ceremonies and stakeholder discussions to support decision-making, consensus and conflict resolution.
• You’ll oversee user acceptance testing and confirm that delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
• You’ll monitor product performance and identify opportunities for operational and product improvements.

Skills and Qualifications
• 5–7 years of combined Business Analysis and Product Ownership experience.
• Essential experience working within a transit agency, with strong knowledge of bus operations.
• Proven public sector project experience, including stakeholder, procurement and regulatory considerations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps and Confluence.
• Strong requirements management, data analysis, reporting, facilitation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles, accessibility standards and relevant certifications such as CBAP or CSPO is preferred.
