Working closely with Project Managers and the finance team, you'll provide valuable financial insights, oversee project billing and reporting, and help ensure projects remain on track from initiation through closeout. Your Responsibilities
• You'll partner with Project Managers to monitor project performance, profitability, budgets, and financial health throughout the project lifecycle.
• You'll prepare client billings, manage accounts receivable, and proactively support collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
• You'll establish and maintain project information within Deltek Vantagepoint, including project setup, fee structures, phases, billing configurations, and change orders.
• You'll prepare Work in Progress (WIP) reports, reconciliations, financial analyses, and monthly reporting to support informed business decisions.
• You'll provide forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis while identifying financial risks and opportunities.
• You'll perform bank reconciliations, maintain accurate project documentation, and support project closeouts to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.
• You'll collaborate with internal finance partners to monitor consultant costs, disbursements, and overall project financial performance.
Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of progressive project accounting experience, ideally within architecture, engineering, consulting, or another professional services environment.
• Experience managing project billing, accounts receivable, collections, and Work in Progress (WIP) reporting.
• Strong understanding of project financials, including revenue recognition, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Experience working with ERP systems, with Deltek Vantagepoint considered a strong asset.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance and project teams.
