About the Opportunity
An established organization in the geo-data and mapping sciences sector is seeking a Lidar Production Analyst to support the delivery of accurate, high-quality terrain and mapping products. This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys working with complex geospatial data, improving production workflows, and contributing to projects where precision and reliability matter.
You’ll collaborate with technical leads, supervisors, production teams, and clients to process lidar data, maintain quality standards, and support day-to-day project delivery. Your work will directly contribute to lidar-derived products and terrain deliverables that meet internal and external requirements.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll process lidar data, lidar-derived products, and terrain products according to project specifications and quality standards.
• In this role, you’ll perform point classification and independent quality reviews to maintain consistent product quality.
• You’ll provide technical guidance to production teams, peers, management, and clients regarding procedures and requirements.
• You’ll support training activities as an additional technical resource for team members and clients.
• You’ll assist technical leads with project coordination, task delegation, tracking, and status reporting.
• You’ll identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability through workflow analysis, software tools, and production methods.
Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on experience processing lidar data and producing lidar-derived terrain products.
• Strong understanding of point classification, QA/QC processes, lidar technology, and commonly used data formats.
• Experience using TerraSolid products, Global Mapper, ArcGIS Pro, and QGIS.
• Familiarity with MicroStation, LP360, GeoCue, LASTools, or similar lidar processing tools is an asset.
• Knowledge of industry standards, including the USGS Lidar Base Specification, is considered an asset.
• Strong written and spoken English communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• ASPRS certification is considered an asset.
