About the Opportunity
An established public sector organization is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant, HCM Payroll to support critical enterprise initiatives and ongoing business operations. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex SAP Payroll solutions that directly support a large workforce while contributing to the modernization and continuous improvement of enterprise technology.
Working alongside Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and project stakeholders, you will lead solution design, configuration, and implementation activities while ensuring high-quality project delivery. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll lead SAP HCM Payroll implementation, enhancement, and production support activities throughout the full project lifecycle.
• You’ll analyze business requirements, conduct fit-gap assessments, and configure SAP Payroll solutions that align with business and technical needs.
• You’ll design and support payroll schemas, Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), retroactive accounting, year-end payroll processing, and payroll integrations with third-party systems.
• You’ll prepare functional specifications, solution documentation, and collaborate with technical teams to deliver reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflows, and forms.
• You’ll provide expert guidance to project teams and business stakeholders while supporting testing, cutover, go-live activities, and knowledge transfer.
• You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with organizational standards and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of SAP implementation and production support experience, including enterprise SAP project delivery and system integrations.
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP HCM Payroll configuration and support experience.
• Demonstrated expertise with SAP Payroll Schemas, Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), retroactive accounting, year-end payroll processing, and SAP S/4HANA Payroll.
• Experience supporting payroll integrations with third-party systems and delivering functional design documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• SAP certification or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Experience with SAP Payroll Control Centre (PCC), SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP S/4HANA hybrid environments, large enterprise payroll operations, payroll enhancements, upgrades, and cross-functional collaboration with Payroll, HR, Finance, and IT is considered an asset.
