Your Responsibilities
• You’ll develop and enhance Azure-based data engineering solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and related cloud technologies.
• You’ll modernize and migrate existing data pipelines while evaluating impacts to downstream systems and processes.
• You’ll create automated tests, execute unit and system testing, and support data quality validation activities.
• You’ll prepare deployment plans, develop deployment scripts, manage production releases, and support User Acceptance Testing.
• You’ll collaborate within an Agile Scrum team, contribute to sprint planning, provide effort estimates, and demonstrate completed work to stakeholders.
• You’ll produce technical documentation, operational guides, deployment documentation, and support knowledge transfer activities.
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of progressive cloud data engineering experience supporting enterprise cloud implementation projects.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, Azure Data Lake Storage, Power BI Reports, and Crystal Reports.
• Proven experience converting Azure Synapse pipelines into Azure Data Factory and Databricks solutions, designing Azure data lakes, and building scalable data pipelines.
• Strong experience using Spark, PySpark, and Python to develop data engineering solutions supporting data warehousing, analytics, and data quality initiatives.
• Diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline, with coursework in database design, programming, business analysis, and systems analysis.
• Experience working in Scrum Agile environments with strong requirements analysis, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and technical documentation skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities.
