About the Opportunity
Join a collaborative technology team supporting a large public sector organization as it modernizes its enterprise data platform. This role plays a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of data pipelines as legacy solutions are transformed into scalable, cloud-based platforms using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll develop and execute QA strategies, test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and automated test scripts for functional, integration, regression, performance, and acceptance testing.
• You'll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the Agile delivery process.
• You'll prepare test data, manage testing environments, execute test activities, and oversee user acceptance testing.
• You'll track, document, and facilitate the resolution of defects while maintaining issue logs and QA documentation.
• You'll provide regular QA status updates, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to project risk identification and mitigation.
• You'll support knowledge transfer activities, user feedback sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives as product knowledge grows.

 

Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of recent software QA experience focused on application and data validation.
• Strong SQL skills are required, with experience validating data across Microsoft database environments.
• Experience with data validation, test automation, and developing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts is required.
• Knowledge of Python is highly desirable.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Synapse is an asset, along with familiarity with Azure Data Factory, automated testing tools such as Selenium, SoapUI, or Fiddler, and Agile project tracking tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
