Job Description

Location:
On site- Greater Toronto Area, Napanee or Oakville, Ontario. With occasional travel to facilities across Ontario as required.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll manage procurement activities for goods, services, and engineered equipment while balancing cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
• You'll prepare and administer RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, purchase orders, and contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable procurement policies and trade agreements.
• You'll build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate commercial agreements, and support vendor performance management initiatives.
• You'll monitor market conditions, identify supply risks, and recommend sourcing strategies that support operational requirements.
• You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve procurement challenges, support continuous improvement initiatives, and provide guidance on procurement processes.
• You'll analyze spending data, prepare reports, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• You'll occasionally travel to operational sites across Ontario to support projects and planned outages.

Skills and Qualifications
• College diploma, university degree, or equivalent combination of education and procurement experience.
• Experience managing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, RFQs, and day-to-day procurement activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel, with working knowledge of SharePoint. Experience with Maximo is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract administration, supplier relationship management, and public sector procurement requirements is an asset.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
• Excellent attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and continuous improvement.
