A large public sector organization is seeking an experienced ITS Portfolio Manager to lead the planning, governance, reporting, and delivery of strategic technology and cybersecurity initiatives. This permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who can bring structure, clarity, and momentum to complex work that supports enterprise transformation and risk management.

In this role, you’ll work closely with technology leaders, business stakeholders, finance, procurement, legal, privacy, audit teams, and external partners. Your work will help strengthen portfolio visibility, improve decision-making, and support the successful delivery of security, governance, risk, and compliance priorities.

What’s In It for You
You’ll join a mission-driven environment where technology plays a meaningful role in supporting essential services and improving organizational resilience. This is a high-impact opportunity to build trusted relationships, influence portfolio maturity, and contribute to a culture that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll develop and maintain integrated portfolio plans, governance structures, roadmaps, milestones, reporting cycles, and delivery plans
• In this role, you’ll coordinate cross-functional initiatives by managing scope, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, action items, and escalations
• You’ll prepare executive briefings, dashboards, scorecards, status summaries, and reporting packages for leadership and governance forums
• You’ll lead financial stewardship for assigned portfolios, including budget planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and investment reporting
• You’ll partner with Finance, Procurement, Legal, ITS leadership, vendors, and external consultants to support business cases, contracts, statements of work, renewals, and delivery commitments
• You’ll support security and risk-related initiatives, including audit remediation, evidence coordination, policy work, control improvement plans, and change adoption activities

Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, audit, compliance, or IT portfolio/project management, including 3+ years leading cross-functional security or risk-related initiatives
• PMP certification is required, with PfMP, PgMP, COBIT, NIST, ITIL, Lean, Agile, business analysis, financial management, or PROSCI certification considered an asset
• Experience with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT, CIS Controls, privacy requirements, vulnerability management, IAM, security operations, incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and security control implementation
• Strong proficiency with ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Planner, Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Visio, Confluence, Power BI, Excel, dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and executive presentations
• Demonstrated experience with risk registers, control libraries, policy management, audit tracking, evidence coordination, third-party risk, security procurements, statements of work, and vendor oversight
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, judgment, discretion, and ability to influence without direct authority

Note from the Hiring Manager
