Our client in the non-profit healthcare sector is seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to provide front desk coverage for a community clinic in Hamilton. This short-term contract plays an important role in ensuring the clinic continues to run smoothly while delivering a welcoming and supportive experience for clients.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers. You will work closely with clinic staff while independently managing the reception area, helping patients feel supported and ensuring appointments, records, and day-to-day administrative tasks stay organized and efficient.

You will welcome clients as they arrive, ensuring each visitor feels supported and directed appropriately.
In this role, you will manage the clinic’s appointment calendar by scheduling and confirming patient visits.
You will answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages to the appropriate team members.
You will maintain accurate patient information by updating and organizing records in the clinic database.
You will support billing and payment processing while ensuring transactions are handled professionally.
You will help keep the reception area clean, organized, and ready to receive visitors throughout the day.
1+ year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with clinic or scheduling software
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
