Working closely with senior finance leaders, Financial Officers, and business partners across the organization, you will lead the coordination and execution of the annual budgeting process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating with diverse stakeholders, presenting financial information to executive audiences, and bringing structure, insight, and confidence to complex budgeting initiatives.

What's In It for You
Join a collaborative finance team where your expertise will make an immediate impact during a critical planning cycle. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced finance leaders, contribute to enterprise-level decision making, and influence process improvements that will benefit future budgeting cycles.

This assignment offers meaningful exposure to senior leadership while providing flexibility through a hybrid work environment and the opportunity to support an organization with an important national mandate.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll lead the organization's annual budgeting process, coordinating timelines, milestones, stakeholder engagement, and budget deliverables.
• You'll consolidate departmental budgets into an enterprise-wide financial plan while preparing analysis, forecasts, scenario modelling, and executive reporting.
• You'll collaborate closely with Financial Officers and business leaders, providing guidance, quality assurance, and financial oversight throughout the budgeting cycle.
• You'll prepare presentations and supporting materials for senior leadership and Board-level budget discussions.
• You'll identify opportunities to improve budgeting processes, reporting tools, governance, and financial planning documentation.
• You'll support financial planning activities related to corporate planning initiatives and key organizational projects.

Skills and Qualifications
• 5 to 7+ years of progressive Financial Planning & Analysis experience, including leading complex annual budgeting processes.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA or internationally recognized equivalent such as CA, CMA, or ACCA) or an equivalent transferable designation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar financial platforms.
• Demonstrated experience preparing financial models, forecasts, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Government, Crown Corporation, or broader public sector experience is considered an asset, but candidates from other industries with significant FP&A experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
