About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about using data to drive better decision-making and strengthen organizational controls? We are recruiting for an experienced Audit Analytics professional to join a large public sector organization where you'll play a key role in advancing data-driven internal audit practices and delivering meaningful business insights.
In this role, you'll partner with audit and business leaders to develop scalable analytics, improve risk identification, and enhance audit effectiveness through automation, AI, and advanced data analysis. You'll work alongside collaborative professionals who are committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and strengthening organizational governance.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll design and execute data analytics that support audit planning, testing, monitoring, and reporting activities.
• You'll apply automation, AI, and advanced analytics techniques to enhance audit processes and identify risks and control gaps.
• You'll analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improved governance.
• You'll create compelling dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
• You'll review source data for quality and completeness while collaborating with stakeholders to resolve data issues.
• You'll develop reusable analytical models and document methodologies, assumptions, and data sources to support transparency and auditability.
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, audit analytics, data analytics, risk management, or a related field.
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and Python for querying, validating, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets.
• Hands-on experience preparing analyses, reports, and dashboards using Power BI, Databricks, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with SAS is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, anomalies, and control gaps, and communicate findings to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of internal audit methodologies, governance, risk management, and control frameworks. Relevant audit designations or ongoing professional development are considered strong assets.
