Treasury Analyst

Location: Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Remote with occasional travel to Vaughn every quarter
Language: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Duration: 6-month contract with potential extension 
Background Check Requirement: May be required as part of the onboarding process
Compensation: $28-30/hour

In this role, you'll collaborate with treasury, accounting, and banking partners to ensure the accuracy of cash reporting, reconciliations, and banking transactions. Your attention to detail and analytical mindset will directly support critical financial processes while providing valuable exposure to enterprise finance systems and treasury best practices.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll prepare daily cash reports and support ongoing cash management activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• You'll complete bank reconciliations, investigate outstanding items, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• You'll prepare banking compliance reports, interest calculation schedules, and journal entries related to banking transactions and service charges.
• You'll work directly with banking partners to respond to inquiries, process payment requests, and support wire transfer documentation.
• You'll monitor daily bank balances, compare balances with SAP records, and regularly clear banking transactions within the system.
• You'll support Know Your Customer (KYC) banking processes while maintaining accurate treasury records and documentation.

Skills and Qualifications
• Up to 2 years of experience in treasury, banking operations, accounting, or a related finance function.
• Experience preparing bank reconciliations and supporting daily cash management activities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Experience using SAP is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet daily deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
