About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity to lead complex AWS cybersecurity initiatives within a professional services environment, helping organizations strengthen their cloud security posture and adopt AWS securely. You will guide engagements from assessment and strategy through architecture, implementation, optimization, and operational handover.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, delivery partners, and multidisciplinary cybersecurity teams, you will translate technical risks into practical recommendations. Your leadership will help protect critical workloads and data while improving operational resilience across enterprise and highly regulated environments.
What’s In It for You
You will join a collaborative, knowledge-driven environment where technical excellence, mentorship, and continuous learning are valued. This role offers exposure to diverse AWS environments, complex cloud transformations, executive stakeholders, and opportunities to shape cybersecurity strategies while developing and mentoring other professionals.
Your Responsibilities
• You’ll lead AWS cybersecurity assessments, architecture reviews, cloud transformations, migrations, and remediation programs.
• You’ll design and implement security controls across identity, networks, data protection, logging, encryption, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• You’ll develop AWS security strategies, roadmaps, landing zones, governance frameworks, guardrails, policies, and reference architectures.
• You’ll assess AWS environments for control gaps, misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and opportunities to improve security maturity.
• You’ll manage project plans, workstreams, budgets, resources, status reporting, and delivery commitments.
• You’ll support pre-sales discussions, technical demonstrations, solution design, proposals, and client risk assessments.
• You’ll mentor cybersecurity professionals and present clear, actionable recommendations to technical and executive audiences.
Skills and Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity, cloud security, infrastructure security, security operations, or technology risk experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS security experience, including AWS IAM, Organizations, Control Tower, VPC, EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, Config, WAF, Shield, Macie, Detective, Network Firewall, and Transit Gateway.
• Experience with AWS landing zones, multi-account governance, identity federation, least privilege, network segmentation, SIEM/SOAR integrations, and incident response.
• Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, policy-as-code, and secure configuration management.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Well-Architected, NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with AWS Certified Security Specialty strongly preferred. CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC, or additional AWS certifications are assets.
• Excellent stakeholder communication, consulting, problem-solving, leadership, and report-writing skills.
Note from the Hiring Manager
