We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Secretary to support a busy outpatient clinic within a leading healthcare organization. In this role, you will help ensure clinic operations run smoothly by coordinating patient flow, managing appointments, and supporting administrative processes. Your Responsibilities
• You'll welcome and register patients using clinic systems, and help ensure appointments begin on time
• You'll prepare examination rooms before clinics and clean them after each patient assessment
• You'll escort patients and families to examination rooms and communicate their arrival to clinical staff
• You'll answer incoming telephone calls and emails, responding professionally to inquiries
• You'll book, rebook, and confirm appointments, including reminder calls to patients and families
• You'll coordinate interpreter services, Zoom appointments, and new patient appointments as required, including referrals
Skills and Qualifications
• 1+ year of medical administrative or medical secretary experience in a clinical setting
• Experience using Accuro EMR is preferred
• Experience registering patients and managing appointments in a healthcare environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced clinic
• Excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
• Professional, dependable, and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality
