As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in evaluating strategic technology solutions, including assessing whether to enhance internal machine learning capabilities or implement a third-party platform to improve real-time bus arrival predictions. Working alongside business and technology stakeholders, you'll help shape recommendations that influence future technology investments while supporting additional operational improvement initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

• You'll lead stakeholder workshops to gather, validate, and document business and technical requirements.

• You'll evaluate technology solution options, conduct vendor assessments, and develop build versus buy recommendations.

• You'll analyze current-state processes, design future-state workflows, and perform fit-gap analysis.

• You'll prepare business cases, decision documentation, process maps, and high-level solution designs.

• You'll support project planning, requirements traceability, testing strategies, user acceptance testing, and stakeholder communications.

 

Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive Business Analyst experience with business process improvement and enterprise technology projects.

• Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional and technical requirements.

• Strong experience developing business cases, conducting technology evaluations, vendor assessments, and fit-gap analysis.

• Experience supporting software implementation projects, project planning, testing, and user acceptance testing.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and SharePoint.

• Excellent analytical, facilitation, communication, and technical documentation skills.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field. CBAP or CCBA certification and public sector experience are considered strong assets.
