We are seeking a General Labourer - Record Center Specialist to join a professional records management team in Surrey, BC. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing records, fulfilling client orders, and safely moving, organizing, and storing physical records within a secure warehouse environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, and enjoys hands-on work. You'll play a key role in ensuring client records are accurately processed and efficiently managed while maintaining high standards of organization and workplace safety.

Your Responsibilities

  • You'll retrieve, organize, and process client records, files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other stored materials
  • You'll manually lift, carry, move, arrange, and store boxes, bins, and totes throughout the facility
  • You'll accurately process incoming and outgoing customer orders using a proprietary inventory management system
  • You'll operate handheld scanners to track inventory and verify record locations
  • You'll safely load, unload, and transport materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
  • You'll load, stack, and shrink-wrap pallets while preparing materials for shipment or storage
  • You'll manually load boxes onto pallets and assist with loading pallets onto trucks using approved material handling procedures
  • You'll maintain accurate inventory records while ensuring all materials are handled carefully and securely
  • You'll keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with workplace health and safety standards

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, records management, inventory control, material handling, or a similar physically demanding role is considered an asset
  • Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks throughout an entire shift
  • Ability to regularly walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to independently lift, carry, push, pull, and move boxes weighing between up to 50 lbs without assistance
  • Comfortable working on concrete and uneven walking surfaces while moving materials safely
  • Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse inventory systems is considered an asset
  • Ability to safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and working at various storage heights when required
  • Strong attention to detail while accurately processing and tracking inventory
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to following safety procedures and productivity standards
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills required
