Location: Burlington, ON, On-site, with regular travel throughout the Halton, Hamilton and Niagara region

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established leader in the residential home services industry, is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead a team of skilled field technicians in the Burlington region. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting frontline employees, driving operational excellence, and ensuring customers receive exceptional service.

Working closely with operations, workforce planning, warehouse, sales, and leadership teams, you'll play a key role in coaching technicians, improving performance, and fostering a culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your Responsibilities

  • You'll lead, coach, and support a team of approximately 10 to 12 HVAC Service Technicians across your assigned territory.
  • You'll conduct regular ride-alongs to provide coaching, ensure quality workmanship, and reinforce safety and operational standards.
  • You'll monitor operational KPIs, technician productivity, workforce planning, and customer service metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • You'll oversee administrative responsibilities including time approvals, parts approvals, reporting, and system updates.
  • You'll partner with HR to support employee relations, investigations, and performance management while effectively leading within a unionized environment.
  • You'll collaborate with dispatch, warehouse, sales, and regional leadership to ensure efficient service delivery and an outstanding customer experience.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HVAC industry experience with leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC service operations, Gas Fitter licence considered a strong asset
  • Experience leading field service teams within a fast-paced operational environment
  • Comfortable analyzing reports, working with Excel, and using HRIS or CRM platforms such as Dayforce
  • Strong communication, presentation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset
  • Ability to build credibility with experienced technicians while maintaining accountability and high performance standards
