About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about transforming complex processes into streamlined, people-focused solutions? We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to support a post-secondary institution through a high-impact business transformation initiative. In this role, you will partner with process owners and subject matter experts to evaluate, redesign, and improve up to five key business processes that directly support the student experience.

Working alongside cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders, you will apply Lean and continuous improvement methodologies to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and develop practical, sustainable solutions. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping build internal capability for long-term operational excellence.

What’s In It for You
• Contribute to a meaningful initiative that enhances services and improves the student experience.
• Collaborate with engaged leaders and cross-functional teams in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
• Apply your expertise to complex business challenges while influencing sustainable organizational improvements.
• Gain exposure to enterprise-wide transformation initiatives within a collaborative public sector environment.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll partner with process owners to define business challenges, document current-state processes, and identify pain points, barriers, and root causes.
• You'll facilitate workshops, interviews, value stream mapping sessions, and stakeholder working groups to support process improvement initiatives.
• You'll develop future-state process maps and practical implementation plans that improve efficiency, strengthen service delivery, and deliver measurable outcomes.
• You'll prepare clear documentation, executive-ready reports, and recommendations for leadership and operational teams.
• You'll support testing activities, including configuration, user acceptance, and integration testing, while documenting outcomes and validating business requirements.
• You'll prioritize improvement initiatives by balancing organizational needs, system capabilities, timelines, and available resources.

Skills and Qualifications
• 5 to 7 years of progressive experience leading continuous improvement, Lean, business process improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Formal certification or training in Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Business Process Improvement, or a related methodology.
• Demonstrated expertise in process mapping, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, waste identification, and future-state process design.
• Proven experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, and cross-functional working sessions within complex service environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Visio, or equivalent process mapping tools.
• Experience within post-secondary education, the Ontario public sector, student services, enrolment management, digital transformation, change management, ERP, CRM, workflow, or case management systems is considered an asset.
