Location: Burlington, ON (Hybrid, up to 4 days in office per week)

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance & Claims Analyst to join their Risk Management team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys analyzing contracts, reviewing insurance documentation, and supporting organizational risk management initiatives.

Working closely with internal departments, brokers, contractors, consultants, and external partners, you will play an important role in ensuring insurance requirements are met, claims are administered efficiently, and risk management practices are consistently applied. Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll review insurance documentation to ensure compliance with organizational requirements and identify any deficiencies requiring follow-up

  • You’ll assess contracts, agreements, and related documentation to support effective insurance and risk management practices

  • You’ll coordinate with internal teams, brokers, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders to resolve insurance-related matters

  • You’ll support the administration and coordination of insurance claims while maintaining accurate records and documentation

  • You’ll maintain organized insurance files, certificates, contracts, claims records, and supporting documentation

  • You’ll assist with insurance renewals, policy administration, and data collection activities

  • You’ll provide guidance on insurance requirements and support the implementation of risk management initiatives

  • You’ll prepare reports, monitor outstanding items, and contribute to continuous process improvements


Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in insurance, risk management, claims administration, or a related field

  • Post-secondary education in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline

  • Experience reviewing insurance documentation, contracts, and compliance requirements

  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance principles, contractual risk transfer, and insurance terminology

  • Claims administration or claims coordination experience is considered an asset

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholder groups

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with insurance or claims management systems is considered an asset
