Job Description

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid, 3 days/week on-site)

Duration: 6-month contract with the possibility of a 6-month extension

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in the implementation and enhancement of IBM Maximo solutions, helping bridge business needs with technology while supporting critical service delivery.

Working alongside project teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners, you will contribute to requirements gathering, process improvement, testing, and solution delivery. Your Responsibilities

• You'll facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.

• You'll develop Business Requirements Documents, requirements traceability matrices, and business process documentation, including BPMN-based as-is and to-be models.

• You'll support IBM Maximo implementation activities, ensuring business requirements align with project objectives and solution design.

• You'll create and execute test plans, test cases, and testing activities, including functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

• You'll manage defects, monitor testing progress, and provide status updates, risks, and reporting to project leadership.

• You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for business process improvements and successful solution adoption.

 

Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive Business Analyst experience supporting large-scale enterprise technology initiatives.

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Asset Management or IBM Maximo Application Suite (v7, v8, or v9), including implementation experience.

• Extensive experience documenting business workflows, business requirements, and as-is/to-be business processes using BPMN.

• Proven experience supporting enterprise testing activities, including test planning, test execution, UAT, defect management, and requirements traceability using JIRA. Experience with HP ALM is considered an asset.

• University degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong understanding of asset management processes, including preventative maintenance, work orders, service requests, contract and vendor management, and capital project delivery.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience working in Agile and enterprise environments.
