About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Software License Senior Specialist to support a large, complex enterprise technology environment with a focus on software asset management, licensing compliance, and operational optimization. This contract role is ideal for someone who brings deep Microsoft Licensing expertise and enjoys turning complex data into clear, actionable insights.

In this role, you will work closely with asset management, procurement, IT, vendor, and business stakeholders to strengthen software compliance, improve data accuracy, and support smarter software purchasing decisions. Your work will help ensure the organization is using its software investments effectively while staying audit-ready and aligned with best practices.

What’s In It for You
This is an opportunity to contribute to a mature asset management function where your expertise will have a direct impact on compliance, cost optimization, and service delivery. You’ll gain exposure to enterprise-scale licensing challenges, collaborate with knowledgeable stakeholders, and help shape practical improvements across tools, processes, and reporting.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll conduct monthly and quarterly software license compliance assessments, with a strong focus on Microsoft licensing
• In this role, you’ll reconcile software purchases against discovery data, identifying gaps, discrepancies, and remediation opportunities
• You’ll facilitate stakeholder discussions to support software optimization, selection decisions, and compliance readiness
• You’ll maintain and validate procurement, contract, inventory, and asset management records across key systems
• You’ll research software licensing requirements to support purchasing decisions and vendor conversations
• You’ll participate in software audits and provide insights that strengthen operational processes and service delivery
• You’ll provide functional support to end users and stakeholders related to software asset management activities

Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressive experience in software asset management, IT asset management, licensing, or a related IT operations function
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Licensing is required
• Knowledge of software licensing models across Microsoft, Adobe, and Oracle
• Hands-on experience with software asset management tools, including Flexera, ServiceNow, and SCCM
• Demonstrated experience with data analysis, reconciliation, compliance assessments, and audit support
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate licensing insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience in large enterprise environments, vendor negotiations, ITIL-aligned practices, or process improvement is an asset
