While healthcare experience is considered an asset, the organization is open to accomplished leaders from retail, hospitality, operations, customer service, distribution, or other service-focused environments who have demonstrated success managing high-performing teams.

The organization offers a collaborative leadership environment, ongoing professional development, a defined benefit pension plan, comprehensive health benefits, and an annual performance incentive.

Your Responsibilities

  • You'll oversee the daily operations of the donor centre, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality standards, operational efficiency, and donor safety are consistently achieved.
  • You'll provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and development to a team of approximately 13 unionized employees, including Donor Centre Nurses, Donor Centre Associates, and Team Leads.
  • You'll manage operational budgets, forecasting, supplies, equipment, maintenance, and facility requirements while supporting continuous operational improvement.
  • You'll oversee workforce planning and scheduling while effectively navigating a unionized environment.
  • You'll resolve donor and customer service concerns while continuously enhancing the donor experience.
  • You'll collaborate with Quality Assurance to support audits, non-conformance investigations, corrective actions, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • You'll partner with regional leadership to support operational planning, collection targets, and organizational objectives.
  • You'll foster an inclusive, collaborative workplace culture focused on safety, accountability, and employee engagement.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership or management experience leading frontline operational teams.
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring, and developing employees while driving team performance.
  • Demonstrated operational management experience, including budgeting, resource planning, and financial accountability.
  • Strong customer service background with the ability to manage escalations professionally and effectively.
  • Experience working within a unionized environment is considered a strong asset.
  • Healthcare experience is welcomed but not required.
  • Leadership experience gained in retail, operations, hospitality, logistics, distribution, customer service, or similar environments is highly transferable.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Post-secondary education in business, healthcare, or a related discipline is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
