About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected organization in the veterinary and animal healthcare sector, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join their growing team on a one-year contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you'll play a key role in strengthening HR programs, partnering with leaders, and helping shape the employee experience as the organization continues to evolve.
Working closely with the HR leadership team, you'll balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR support across a broad range of people-focused priorities. Your Responsibilities
• You'll partner with leaders to provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and workplace investigations
• You'll support return-to-work programs, disability management, WSIB processes, and workplace accommodations
• You'll develop and enhance HR policies, procedures, onboarding, and organization-wide orientation programs
• You'll deliver training and coaching to managers on leadership, employment legislation, employee development, and performance conversations
• You'll contribute to strategic HR initiatives including compensation reviews, benefits enhancements, and employee engagement programs
• You'll assist with HR administration including employment letters, offer letters, reporting, and occasional HRIS and payroll support during the transition to ADP
• You'll collaborate closely with the HR Director and HR Generalist to ensure continuity across the HR function while helping build scalable processes
Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist capacity
• Strong employee relations, conflict resolution, coaching, and workplace investigation experience
• Demonstrated experience managing return-to-work programs, disability management, WSIB, modified duties, and workplace accommodations
• Experience delivering manager training and supporting leadership development
• Comfortable balancing strategic HR initiatives with day-to-day operational responsibilities
• Experience using HRIS and payroll systems for reporting, exposure to ADP or Payworks is considered an asset
• Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoys building new processes and programs
