Your Responsibilities
• You'll build and strengthen relationships with contractors, builders, businesses, institutions, property managers, and other commercial clients throughout your territory.
• You'll manage an existing portfolio of approximately 15 to 25 accounts while developing new business opportunities with the goal of growing your customer base to approximately 40 active accounts within your first year.
• You'll visit customer locations and job sites to understand project requirements and recommend practical hardware and building supply solutions.
• You'll prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and guide customers through the sales process while delivering exceptional service.
• You'll collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure product availability, accurate order fulfillment, and a seamless customer experience.
• You'll consistently achieve monthly sales objectives while identifying new opportunities to expand market share.
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of outside sales, account management, contractor sales, or related experience
• Experience within the hardware, construction, renovation, or building materials industry is strongly preferred
• Proven ability to develop lasting customer relationships and generate new business
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
• Self-motivated, confident, and driven, with a passion for working with people
• Team-oriented mindset, with involvement in sports, coaching, music, or other collaborative activities considered an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Diploma or degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset
