Job Description

Location: Ottawa, ON, 100% On-site
Language: Bilingualism in spoken English and French is preferred. 
Duration: 1-month contract with a strong possibility of extension
Background Check Requirement: Basic Criminal Record Check (CRC)

Working alongside the Accounting Services team, you'll be much more than the first point of contact. You'll help manage shared inboxes, coordinate incoming correspondence, support administrative processes, and ensure information reaches the right people efficiently. Your Responsibilities
• You'll welcome visitors and serve as the first point of contact, providing professional reception and directing inquiries appropriately.
• You'll monitor shared inboxes, triage incoming emails, and ensure requests are routed to the appropriate teams.
• You'll open, sort, and distribute incoming mail while supporting document management and electronic filing.
• You'll communicate with vendors to obtain missing information, including purchase order details when required.
• You'll provide administrative support to the Accounting Services team by managing paperwork, maintaining organized records, and assisting with day-to-day operational tasks.

Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of administrative or office support experience, preferably supporting a finance or accounting environment.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, including shared inbox management and electronic file organization.
• Confident verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Bilingual spoken English and French is preferred, with written French considered an asset.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working with a team of diverse personalities while asking questions and taking initiative.
