Your Responsibilities
• You'll own full-cycle accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting across multiple operating entities.
• You'll support project and operational accounting by tracking costs, monitoring budgets, preparing variance analysis, and assisting with development and construction-related financial reporting.
• You'll prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE while supporting consolidated reporting.
• You'll contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis to support business and project decisions.
• You'll coordinate regulatory filings, year-end audit preparation, and collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
• You'll help improve accounting processes, reporting capabilities, and system efficiencies while working with Viewpoint Vista and other accounting tools.
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate, construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA designation, actively pursuing the CPA designation, or planning to enroll.
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting under ASPE.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end close.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP or accounting systems. Exposure to Viewpoint Vista is considered an asset.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across finance and operations.
