Job Description

Title: Agile Scrum Lead 
Location: Regina, SK, Hybrid. Resource must be located in Saskatchewan
Language: Strong written and spoken English communication required
Duration: Contract, August 1, 2026 to April 30, 2028; with possible extension
Background Check Requirement: Criminal history and education credential verification required

About the Opportunity
Join a public sector technology environment where Agile delivery, collaboration, and continuous improvement are central to how teams create impact. In this role, you’ll support Data and Analytics product teams by helping them work with clarity, consistency, and shared accountability.

You’ll partner closely with Product Owners, analytics developers, and business stakeholders to keep delivery moving across multiple concurrent teams. This is a facilitation-focused role where your ability to build cadence, remove barriers, and support healthy team practices will make a meaningful difference.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• You’ll maintain prioritized, sprint-ready backlogs in Azure DevOps in partnership with Product Owners
• You’ll support 1 to 4 product teams by tracking sprint progress, risks, impediments, capacity, and velocity
• You’ll help ensure sprint commitments are clear, measurable, and achievable
• You’ll coordinate dependencies across teams to support alignment and predictable delivery
• You’ll promote Agile best practices, team accountability, and continuous improvement through actionable retrospectives

Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Lead, or similar role in a delivery environment
• Post-secondary education in Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including Boards, backlogs, and sprint tracking
• Proven experience managing Agile backlogs, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and supporting multiple concurrent teams
• Strong facilitation, communication, stakeholder coordination, and priority management skills
• Experience supporting Data and Analytics, BI, or data platform teams is an asset
• Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric, Power BI, Azure certifications, CSM, PSM I, PSM II, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, Agile coaching, facilitation, or Lean practices is an asset
