About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mail Clerk to join their Mailroom Operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and takes pride in ensuring important business communications are processed accurately and efficiently.
As part of a high-volume operational team, you will support the movement of incoming and outgoing correspondence across multiple business units, helping ensure mail, courier packages, and internal communications are delivered accurately and on time. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in corporate operations while developing valuable administrative, logistics, and customer service skills.

Your Responsibilities
- You'll sort, deliver, and collect mail throughout the organization as part of scheduled mail runs.
- You'll organize incoming correspondence by department and business area to ensure accurate distribution.
- You'll obtain signatures for tracked internal mail and maintain delivery records as required.
- You'll empty and process overnight courier shipments and incoming mail deliveries.
- You'll sort and distribute Canada Post correspondence and identify ownership of unassigned or unidentified mail.
- You'll prepare outgoing courier packages and ensure all required documentation and courier request forms are completed accurately.
- You'll support mailroom workflow activities, ensuring incoming and outgoing correspondence is processed within service standards.
- You'll track mail and courier volumes for reporting and operational purposes.
- You'll assist with document handling, filing, and other administrative support activities as required.
- You'll identify and escalate delivery issues, discrepancies, or operational concerns to ensure timely resolution.
- You'll maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment while adhering to operational procedures and safety guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a mailroom, office support, administrative, logistics, warehouse, or customer service environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve issues independently.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support team objectives.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable learning new processes and following established procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
