About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Compliance Data & Business Intelligence Analyst to join a collaborative team focused on supporting environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance across Ontario. This role offers the opportunity to combine data analytics, business intelligence, compliance reporting, and policy interpretation to support evidence-based decision-making within a highly regulated environment.
Reporting to the Manager, Compliance Data and Business Intelligence, you will work closely with compliance, analytics, finance, IT, and external stakeholders to ensure data integrity, improve reporting processes, and deliver actionable insights that support program performance, regulatory oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Responsibilities
- You'll develop and maintain compliance reporting processes, dashboards, and performance metrics across regulated programs.
- You'll analyze compliance, operational, and program data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- You'll act as a data steward, ensuring data quality, governance, documentation, and reporting consistency.
- You'll support KPI development, performance measurement, and executive reporting to monitor program effectiveness.
- You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver meaningful business insights.
- You'll support cross-functional initiatives, including system enhancements, process improvements, budgeting activities, and public reporting.
- You'll conduct data reviews and compliance assessments to support regulatory oversight and operational decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, compliance analytics, or program analysis.
- Experience working in a regulated, compliance-driven, public sector, environmental, or governance-focused environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), reporting tools, and data visualization platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Experience supporting data governance, data quality management, and reporting best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of waste management, environmental policy, regulatory frameworks, or compliance programs is considered a strong asset.
