Working closely with development, engineering, construction, sales, and external stakeholders, you will help coordinate land development projects through the planning, approval, and execution stages. Your Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following;
- You’ll coordinate development applications including Official Plan Amendments, Subdivisions, Zoning By-law Amendments, Committee of Adjustment applications, and Condominium approvals from submission through registration
- You’ll review technical planning, engineering, legal, and financial documentation to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- You’ll work closely with consultants, municipal staff, and internal stakeholders to secure approvals and keep projects moving according to schedule
- You’ll oversee engineering design coordination and assist with contract administration related to servicing, utilities, and landscaping works
- You’ll review and validate site plans, building designs, and development concepts, providing recommendations that enhance project functionality, marketability, and overall program performance
- You’ll support market research initiatives and provide insights related to product design, pricing strategies, and market positioning
- You’ll collaborate with Sales & Marketing, Construction teams, and Builders to support sales and project launches, assumptions, deficiency management, and development obligations
- You’ll contribute to land acquisition activities including site analysis, offers, and due diligence
- You’ll perform project reporting, meeting support and coordination (agendas, minutes, reports, presentations), and various development and project-related administrative and support functions, including site visits and council/committee participation
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in land development, planning, project coordination, or a related field
- Diploma in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; Bachelor’s degree is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of land use planning regulations, permitting processes, and development standards
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications and project management software
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Valid G Class driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle to attend project sites, meetings, and municipal offices as required
