About the Opportunity

We are seeking energetic and customer-oriented Event Support Professionals to assist with two exciting community events during Calgary Stampede. These opportunities are ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with the public, creating memorable experiences, and helping large-scale events run smoothly.

 

You'll play a key role in welcoming guests, supporting event logistics, managing guest flow, and providing exceptional service to attendees. Whether you're greeting guests, assisting with registration, or helping coordinate event activities, your ability to stay organized, approachable and calm under pressure will contribute directly to a successful guest experience.

Your Responsibilities

• You'll welcome guests, provide event information, and create a positive first impression for attendees

• You'll assist with guest flow, line management, and wayfinding to ensure a seamless event experience

• You'll distribute event materials such as ballots, drink tickets, wristbands, plates and cutlery as required

• You'll support event registration and check-in using mobile event ticketing applications

• You'll answer attendee questions and provide directions to event activations, amenities, and activities

• You'll assist with event setup, light event logistics, signage placement, and general event support duties

• You'll support ballot collection, vote counting, and event wrap-up activities as needed

 

Skills and Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, events, retail, promotions, or brand ambassador roles

• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently engage large groups of people

• Comfortable working in busy, high-volume public environments

• Highly organized, reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Positive, outgoing and professional with a welcoming customer-focused approach

• Ability to remain calm, adaptable and solution-oriented when managing crowds or unexpected situations

• Comfortable using smartphones or mobile applications for event registration and guest check-in
