About the Opportunity
A well established insurance organization undergoing significant HR and payroll transformation is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team during an exciting period of change. This role offers the opportunity to support a large and complex workforce while gaining exposure to a major Workday implementation and payroll modernization initiative.
Working closely with payroll and HR professionals, you'll play an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while contributing to process improvements and system adoption. Your Responsibilities
• You'll support end-to-end payroll processing activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance
• In this role, you'll assist with payroll audits, validations, and payroll-related inquiries
• You'll help maintain employee payroll records and support payroll data integrity initiatives
• Working closely with the payroll team, you'll participate in Workday payroll testing and parallel payroll activities
• You'll leverage Excel to analyze, validate, and reconcile payroll-related data
• In this role, you'll support payroll reporting requirements and assist with process improvement initiatives
Skills and Qualifications
• 1-3 years of payroll administration experience
• Experience processing payroll within a Canadian environment
• Hands-on experience running payroll within Workday, including participation in multiple payroll cycles
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Experience in a unionized environment and exposure to Quebec payroll are considered strong assets
• PCP designation completed or currently in progress is considered an asset
