About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Middleware Specialist to support complex infrastructure, cloud, and application environments within a public sector setting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping critical systems stable, secure, and performing at their best.
You will work closely with technical teams, application stakeholders, and operational partners to support Azure services, hosted web applications, CI/CD pipelines, and cross-platform integrations. Your work will help ensure reliable service delivery, effective troubleshooting, and thoughtful cloud optimization.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll provide operational support for Azure PaaS websites and applications, Azure IaaS virtual machines, IIS 10+ hosted web services, SQL Server databases, Linux servers, and Microsoft Windows Server 2019+
• In this role, you’ll monitor Azure resources for right sizing and provide financial recommendations for cloud services
• You’ll troubleshoot incidents, restore infrastructure service availability, and support ITIL incident and change management processes
• You’ll create, maintain, and improve documentation for operational procedures, support models, and technical processes
• You’ll design, build, deploy, and operate Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including network-level Azure features such as NSGs and firewalls
• You’ll support .NET application migration, publishing, and deployment using Azure native tools, CI/CD pipelines, PowerShell, and other automation approaches
• You’ll manage infrastructure security activities, including Azure Defender policies, OS and middleware patching, SSL/TLS certificates, PKI, security alerts, and system log auditing
Skills and Qualifications
• Proven experience providing middleware, infrastructure, or application support in a multi-platform enterprise environment
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS design, build, deployment, operations, monitoring, and optimization
• Experience supporting IIS 10+, SQL Server databases, Linux hosting services, Microsoft Windows Server 2019+, and cross-platform application integrations
• Strong scripting experience using PowerShell and VBS, including automation for migration and operational tasks
• Experience creating and using CI/CD pipelines, supporting Agile and DevOps environments, and deploying .NET applications
• Demonstrated experience with Application Insights, Azure Defender, security alerts, SSL/TLS certificates, PKI, patching, and security event reporting
• Public sector or OPS infrastructure support experience is considered an asset
