About the Opportunity
An established Canadian energy organization is embarking on a significant modernization initiative, implementing a new Land Management platform while enhancing the way critical business data is collected, integrated, and delivered across the organization. This opportunity is ideal for a senior-level developer who enjoys solving complex business challenges through automation, full-stack development, and modern data integration practices.
Working closely with a collaborative team of technical and business professionals, you will play a key role in building automation workflows, integrating external data sources, and supporting the evolution of a business-critical application environment. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact while contributing to innovative technology solutions within a highly respected organization in the energy sector.
Your Responsibilities
• You’ll design and build automation workflows that collect and process data from government websites, APIs, and other external sources.
• You’ll develop and maintain data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.
• You’ll enhance and support a land management application through full-stack development and ongoing optimization.
• You’ll build and consume REST APIs while integrating applications, databases, and reporting tools.
• You’ll troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and data-related issues to ensure platform stability and performance.
• You’ll contribute to deployment activities across on-premises and Azure-based environments.
• You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to improve workflows, reporting outputs, and overall system capabilities.
Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressive full-stack development experience supporting enterprise applications.
• Strong expertise with React, TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL, and REST API development.
• Experience working with Django, Django REST Framework, JWT authentication, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Demonstrated success building data pipelines, integrations, ETL processes, and automation solutions.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and application deployments.
• Exposure to Azure cloud environments, cloud migrations, or hybrid infrastructure models is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively, take initiative, and work independently within a team environment.
