Job Description

Location: Ottawa, Hybrid, 8 days on-site per month
Duration: 2-year contract, full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Overtime may be required
Background Check Requirement:

You will work closely with network, security, infrastructure, and delivery teams to support production and non-production environments. Your work will help strengthen performance, simplify existing solutions, and ensure network services continue to meet evolving business needs.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll play a key role in network operations, with a focus on evergreening, stability, and ongoing support
• In this role, you’ll resolve complex cross-functional technical issues in a timely and solutions-focused way
• You’ll participate in planning and executing testing for production deployment validation, performance, failover, vulnerability remediation, and disaster recovery
• You’ll analyze current network solutions to identify gaps, simplify processes, and support continuous improvement
• You’ll define and implement upgrades and changes to address operational issues and new business requirements
• You’ll support troubleshooting across production and non-production environments
• You’ll contribute to related technical activities and deliverables as required

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of recent experience in testing, operations, development, or integration within network management environments
• 5+ years of recent experience with Cisco switching and routing platforms, including Cisco Nexus 9K, 9300s, 6508, and APIC
• Demonstrated experience working with Azure Cloud Networking
• Strong knowledge of IT Operations, including operational capabilities, common challenges, and support practices
• Experience supporting the full development lifecycle, including CI/CD processes from concept through implementation
• Demonstrated experience with scalable, highly available service-oriented architectures and Agile methodology
• Experience with ServiceNow, Cisco ASA, and Checkpoint firewalls is considered an asset
