Our client in the public sector is seeking an experienced Network Security Consultant to join a highly collaborative technology team responsible for maintaining and evolving critical enterprise network infrastructure. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll provide operational support and participate in evergreening initiatives to maintain the integrity of network security controls
• You’ll troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues, identifying and mitigating risks and vulnerabilities
• In this role, you’ll support testing activities related to production deployments, failover validation, disaster recovery, and vulnerability remediation
• You’ll analyze existing network security environments, identifying opportunities for optimization, simplification, and continuous improvement
• You’ll implement upgrades, configuration changes, and security enhancements to address evolving business and security requirements
• You’ll monitor network security events and incidents, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions
• You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements while supporting automation initiatives

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise network operations and network security environments
• University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies
• Strong experience supporting and administering Check Point firewalls and security management platforms
• Demonstrated expertise in network monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and vulnerability management
• Experience supporting CI/CD processes and participating in solution implementation lifecycles
• Experience working with scalable, highly available service-oriented architectures
• Experience working within SCRUM environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of network security controls, segmentation, firewall policies, and security best practices
• Experience with ServiceNow is considered an asset
