Location: Guelph, ON (Remote within Ontario, with occasional meetings on-site in Guelph)

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Project Lead to oversee the successful delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives within a large and collaborative public sector environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholder groups, lead strategic project activities, and help drive meaningful organizational outcomes through effective planning, execution, and governance.

Working alongside executives, sponsors, technical teams, and end users, you will play a key role in guiding projects from initiation through close-out. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll lead project planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, and project close-out activities
• You’ll develop and maintain project charters, integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and governance documentation
• You’ll act as the primary point of communication between sponsors, stakeholders, project teams, and end users
• You’ll identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions when required
• You’ll manage project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and change control processes
• You’ll provide regular status reporting to project sponsors and governance committees
• You’ll guide project teams through complex challenges while ensuring objectives are delivered on time, within budget, and according to requirements

Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressive project management experience leading complex initiatives in multi-stakeholder environments
• Formal project management training and experience applying recognized project management methodologies and tools
• Strong knowledge of OPS Integrated Project Management Framework, project governance, risk management, budgeting, and financial reporting
• PMP® designation, or equivalent project management certification, is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of organizational change management practices and business analysis methodologies is considered an asset
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and communicate complex technical information to business audiences
• Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, resistance, and competing priorities while delivering successful outcomes
