About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing multi-location organization operating within the automotive services sector, is seeking an experienced Director, Financial Controller to lead its finance function during an exciting period of growth and transformation. This is a highly visible leadership role where you will oversee financial operations, strengthen reporting and controls, and support strategic business initiatives, including acquisitions and integration activities.
Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and scalable processes. Your Responsibilities
• You'll lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• You'll oversee accounting operations, including general ledger management, payroll accounting, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.
• You'll act as the primary liaison for external auditors while strengthening internal controls and governance practices.
• You'll manage treasury operations, banking relationships, cash flow forecasting, and working capital optimization.
• You'll oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, driving efficiency and process improvements.
• You'll mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and growth.
• You'll support acquisition activities, including financial integration, purchase price allocation accounting, and post-acquisition reporting.
Skills and Qualifications
• 8–12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• CPA designation is required.
• Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle accounting, audit, tax, and financial reporting functions.
• Strong expertise in internal controls, treasury management, AP/AR, payroll, and financial operations.
• Experience working within multi-location organizations is required.
• Exposure to high-growth and acquisition-focused environments is strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing mid-to-large finance teams.
