About the Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst to support a large-scale Application Portfolio Modernization (APM) program within a public sector environment. This role is ideal for a Business Analyst who enjoys working at the intersection of business strategy, technology modernization, and enterprise platforms to drive meaningful transformation initiatives.
In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and platform teams to assess legacy applications, support modernization efforts, and enhance ServiceNow capabilities. You will play a key role in ensuring business needs are translated into effective technical solutions while contributing to enterprise architecture and application portfolio initiatives.

Your Responsibilities
- You’ll lead requirements gathering sessions and document business and functional requirements, user stories, workflows, and process maps.
- You’ll assess legacy applications and support migration strategies, including application retirement, re-platforming, and modernization initiatives.
- You’ll provide functional support for ServiceNow modules, including Enterprise Architecture (EA), CMDB, and Application Portfolio Management (APM).
- You’ll facilitate gap analysis, impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement activities to support project delivery.
- You’ll coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training activities, and implementation efforts.
- You’ll contribute to ServiceNow governance, process improvement initiatives, and platform enhancement projects.
- You’ll collaborate with business, IT, and architecture teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and technology standards.
Skillsand Qualifications
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within enterprise technology environments.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation in good standing with IIBA.
- Strong experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, business documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Experience supporting or administering ServiceNow, including CMDB and Enterprise Architecture-related capabilities.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes, IT Service Management (ITSM), and enterprise platform support.
- Proficiency with SQL or data querying tools for reporting, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow APM, Enterprise Architecture, ITBM, or CSDM is considered an asset.
- ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS-APM/EA, or ITIL v4 Foundation are considered strong assets.
