We are seeking a Windows Support Engineer to join a high-performing technology team within a large, complex public sector environment. Working alongside experienced infrastructure professionals, developers, and application owners, you will play a key role in maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing Windows server environments across both on-premises and cloud platforms. Your Responsibilities
• You'll deploy, maintain, and upgrade Windows server environments across both cloud and on-premises platforms
• You'll provide Level 2 technical support for critical applications and infrastructure through ServiceNow
• You'll monitor server performance and capacity, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement
• You'll develop and maintain automation solutions using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools
• You'll create detailed technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and root cause analyses
• You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and support project delivery
• You'll participate in on-call rotations and provide support during non-standard business hours as required

Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience supporting critical applications within hybrid infrastructure environments
• University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience administering Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2016 through 2022
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Group Policy, SCCM, server performance monitoring, and capacity management
• Experience developing and supporting Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Azure
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible Playbooks
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
• Experience with change management practices, Visio diagrams, knowledge transfer sessions, and technical documentation is considered an asset
