Our client, a leading technology organization supporting mission-critical communications and public safety solutions, is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst II to join their growing engineering team. Your Responsibilities
- You'll review vulnerability assessments and penetration testing results, helping prioritize remediation activities based on risk.
- You'll develop, maintain, and support automation scripts used for patch deployment, configuration management, and mitigation activities.
- You'll execute security and functional testing procedures to validate system changes and vulnerability remediation efforts.
- You'll collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement secure configurations and respond to emerging threats.
- You'll assist with system integration activities, troubleshoot security-related issues, and analyze logs across infrastructure environments.
- You'll contribute to technical documentation, deployment procedures, operational playbooks, and system hardening guidelines.
- You'll stay current on vulnerabilities, CVEs, vendor advisories, and cybersecurity best practices to support proactive risk management.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, infrastructure support, or a related technical discipline
- Experience with vulnerability management, threat mitigation, and security validation methodologies
- Strong networking knowledge, including OSI Layer 2 and Layer 3 concepts, VLANs, routing, and firewall technologies
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Linux environments
- Experience developing or modifying automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Familiarity with virtualization and container technologies including VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, or KVM
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and technical documentation skills
- Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks, NIST guidance, vulnerability management platforms, and secure-by-design principles is considered an asset
