About the Opportunity
Our client in the consumer goods and distribution sector is seeking a Logistics Leader to support a busy operations team during a critical period. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient coordination of shipments, transportation activities, and delivery schedules while maintaining a high level of service across the supply chain. Working closely with warehouse teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in keeping products moving smoothly and customers informed.

Your Responsibilities
- You'll create and manage deliveries and shipments within SAP, ensuring accuracy and timely execution for customer orders.
- You'll coordinate daily outbound shipments with warehouse teams and transportation partners to support on-time pickups and deliveries.
- You'll monitor shipment activity, track delivery status, and proactively address transportation issues as they arise.
- You'll provide freight quotations, maintain transportation records, and update internal tracking tools and customer vendor portals.
- You'll coordinate product returns and support the return authorization process with carriers and warehouse teams.
- You'll collaborate with finance and operations teams to investigate and resolve overage, shortage, and damage claims.
- You'll prepare monthly reporting related to on-time delivery performance, compliance metrics, and open order management.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, or supply chain operations within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma required. Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and experience will be considered.
- Strong understanding of freight claims management, freight classifications, LTL class rates, load planning, and FOB terms.
- Experience working with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, or similar ERP systems is considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, data entry systems, transportation rating software, and transportation management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working across teams.
